Do you want to learn how to Stand Up Paddleboard or kayak but just aren't sure what gear you need, where to go, or how to get started?
Or maybe you really want to spend a few hours on the water but you don't want the hassle of renting, picking up or inflating your own board or kayak?
Or perhaps you're new to SUP and kayaking and want to learn how to use your board or boat in a safe environment.
We're here to help!
Join us for Open Paddle Days!
Here's how it'll work.
Click the green "add to cart" button or swing by Basecamp Downtown or Basecamp South to reserve a kayak or SUP for your session.
Finally, meet us at North Crow Reservoir (follow the Basecamp signs), the reservoir is 5 miles off of highway 210 at Curt Gowdy State Park during your registered time. For paddleboarding and kayaking we recommend wearing layers made from quick-drying fabrics and sturdy water shoes like Chacos or Tevas.
Each 90-minute SUP or kayak session is $10.00. This includes all the gear, life jacket, instruction if you want it, and fun you can handle. We'll offer a full refund if we have to cancel a lesson due to inclement weather.
Our goal is to make this easy and fun, so leave all the hard work to us, Basecamp staff will transport our boards and kayaks to Curt Gowdy State Park prior to and provide the boards, paddles, and PFDs for you to use. If you have your own board or kayak and want to show up for community and fun feel free to join us.
*Note: There is a $7.00/day use fee to park at North Crow, we recommend carpooling with a friend or purchasing an annual Wyoming State Parks pass to offset this fee. Because we'll need to leave Basecamp early to get our gear ready we're unable to offer transportation.
