Skate Ski Workshop
Skate skiing is a beautiful and efficient ski technique but it's difficult to learn and even more difficult to master.
Join us for a FREE (yes, I said that right, FREE!) skate ski workshop on March 13th from 9-11am.
We'll meet at the Tie City Trailhead, gear up and then head out for a few hours of skate skiing.
We'll focus on the foundation of skate skiing, body position and then add glide, and finally poling.
By the end of the workshop you'll feel confident with the offset (V1) poling technique, one skate (V2) and two skate (V2 alternate) and know what proper skate ski body position looks and feels like.
Skate ski equipment is required for this lesson. You can rent it from us or elsewhere or borrow from a friend. Please do get your rental reservation in quickly as our skate ski rental selection is limited.
Please bring proper cold weather clothing, your skate ski equipment and a small backpack or drink belt. We won't be doing a lot of mileage this day but we'll be doing a lot of fun drills, activities and games.
The workshop is open to all ages.
Due to COVID considerations and instructor limitations we can only allow 12 people into this workshop so preregistration is required. Upon registration you'll receive an email from us with further details.
